I like how Laura Carlin warps the perspective in her imagery. It gives a sense of confusion and awkwardness but it also helps to balance her images in an unconventional way.
Similar to Peony Gent's work, I think the simplifying of the human figure could be used in my own work to get across the idea that people aren't interested in the 'human' aspect of social issues. Having a stylised way of drawing figures could help me get across the idea that society has been blanket brainwashed to focus more on products rather than people - it would be kind of showing that we are being stripped of what makes us human (caring about other humans).
