Peony Gent

I thought Peony Gent's work could be relevant to my practical work because her imagery has a lot of emotion in it and if my work is going to make an impact on someone, it needs to reach them on an emotional level. Her pencil drawings appear delicate so maybe this is a medium to consider if I wan't to show weakness of fragility in a subject to create empathy. The blue riso prints at the top show a figure that represents the human form. I spoke previously about avoiding using people in my imagery to show how the focus always shifts away from people to products. However, if I do have to use people I think it would be best to use a form similar to this which looks a little alien and void of normal human characteristics.
